Tachysphex

Tachysphex (лат. , от др.-греч. τᾰχύς σφήξ «проворная оса») — род песочных ос из подсемейства Crabroninae (триба Larrini). Более 400 видов.

Распространение

Всесветное. В Европе около 50 видов. Для СССР указывалось 66 видов. В Палеарктике 136 видов, в России 38 видов.

Описание

Переднеспинка и среднеспинка отделённые в профиль перехватом, не образуют одной правильной дуги. Задние глазки короткие, расстояние от них до переднего глазка больше, чем расстояние между ними или равное ему. Гнездятся в земле, ловят саранчёвых, сверчков, кузнечиков, саранчёвых, таракнов, богомолов.
